Plants for a newbie

Tubes +- 1.46m (inside a housing), Tubes have HE on them so I guess thats what it is?

Im gonna go to the Lamp house sometime this week, see what they got, just saw that they are in the same business park as my office:blink1:

 

Lamp House sell a variety of T5 and T8 lights for planted and marine tanks, Growlux being their most expensive, but most popular with planted tank guys. Check out their website for aquariums. They suggested using a mixture of lights to help with the spectrum. I purchaced a couple of T5 54wat Growlux and some of their T5 54 Osram Skywhites, 8500 kel I seem to remember. They do not sell ballasts, they only deal withthe actual lights. These are available available from Plumstead Electrical, dual 54s are pretty reasonable. I can provide another guy that makes up the T5 lights, so PM me if you need the details. Hope this helps

Popped in there on Tuesday and the guy told me that he doesn't stock the T5's that I need anymore (150cm), said he moved all his stock around the country or something :hmmmm:.
guess the search goes on...Found my substrate though and now the fun starts:bigsmile:
