Lotus's are HEAVY feeders via their root systems... I go and collect some rabbit dung from a neighbour and push one or two "ellets" down to the roots on a monthly basis....works like a bomb...couple of rusty panel pins/nails help with iron over and above what they get from column dosing.
The rabit dung trick comes from fertilising pond lillies over the years - there I just use more - the nice thing about it that it does not burn the roots like chicken manure does + less amonia released as well...

lol ok i'll go roam the veld at home for rabbit dung. i was a good girl today and did the studying thing today but have to go out tomorrow so will go get the seachem ferts. i also upped the excel dose to 0,2ml and gave the rest of the ferts aswell. soooo now we wait again lol see if the new ferts and the upped excel make a difference. i got plenty of new leaves forming its the older one doing the floater routine
