New guppies

Here you go, mind you my photography is not as top notch as yours but you will get the idea

They are true endlers that also breed true. The Yellow/gold ones have pure parents too but for some reason 2 males have this colour defect but still with all the endler trademarks.

So THAT is why you asked about full Reds?
It seems Prasertsak(ATFG) have mixed results with fish health ESPECIALLY on export.

Lookup PShaddock(developer of the Full see through guppy strains) reports of poor success with guppy health, obtained from Thailand.

it has something to do with prior exposure, latent infections/parasites PARTICULAR to new imports, and their keeper's destination.
ie. Any other guppy, fish, prior fish in same tanks, cross-contamination etc

I looked into it, and saw your thread just NOW which made me realise your need to REGAIN the lost fish strain type.

Hi Altum - yes, the Full Reds were awesome and I was devastated when they started dying off and I could not save them. I desperately want to replace them because they were so beautiful. Some of the strains I received from ATFG have survived and are doing well - Yellow Snakeskin, Blue Grass and the Red Lace Snakeskin. The full Reds were weak from the start. I gave Dolphin some Full Blacks and Red Grass and they also died. Hopefully my Blue Grass will also throw some Red Grass and then I can start that line as well.

Sorry to hear about the Red strain. Where did you get them from? I understand your situation regarding stock.
I am thinking of importing some Guppies from Singapore/Thailand. Has anyone here imported any and what are the procedures?

Hi, I don't have anything at the moment.
I am busy growing out some HB White guppies as well as some Albino Metal Snakeskin Red Lace.(Pic below)
You can get some fantastic strains from Guppy King in KZN.
This is where I got my latest guppies. They are not cheap but they are good quality.
The guy's name is Mohammed Kayat and you can Whatsapp him on 076 977 8036.
Tell him that Irma referred you.
Just be patient though as he is not the best communicator and sometimes there are delays with permits which delays the imports but you will get them in the end.
He has a whole list of strains that he either has available right now or that he is planning on importing.

 

I Irma, I love this Albino Metal Snakeskin, I am definitely interested in these and would like to know if you have some Albino Full reds too?
