Thanks for the nominations, but truly I will not be able to do it any justice - lack of coffee, too much coffee, oh and work (no I did not say life - work) will make me a very boring mod, we do need to guard against trying to get every active member to be a mod that will make for a very boring forum.

- he gets my vote.

Short motivation:
+ he is in slaapstadt, we need that on the forum, it being a different time zone and all.
+ he has MTS (should be on the must have list for a TASA mod)
+ seems to know something about discus
- he also catches fish ...

Yip I def agree with Tracyp, Altum and f-fish I think they would make great mods with some great experience as well.

Although I have not been long enough here to know everybody that well, I would like to nominate @Marco and @Gert Combrink.

The thing is there are so many really nice members that would make great mods, that it gets hard to choose :s:

@mydummyname - Haha, thanks. I see a few other things in here that I also conform to. I guess I'd be happy to be a mod, and hey, I might as well run for it. So yes, I'm running for it now and I'll list a few things that I've seen people mention in here that I have, as well as other things that I think would make me a suitable mod.

- I spend a lot of time online and even though I generally lurk more than post, I read a lot of threads on here
- I am in Cape Town
- I have been in the hobby since I was 8 years old, and am 20 now. I've been in the hobby more seriously in the last 3 years, and boy, have I learned a lot!
- I have MTS too! (I have over 600L of water in my little apartment, in four tanks)
- I am dedicated to the hobby and I LOVE teaching and helping people (with anything that I can, it's not limited to fishy things )- it's my passion!
- I'm very rational and I don't judge, which means I don't take sides in debates. I'm also very fair.
- Did I say that I have no life and spend most of my time on the internet
- I keep really odd hours so I'll be online when a lot of people wouldn't be (that midnight to 5am bracket, haha) - but our international users might be.
- As I'm a younger user (only turned 20 this year), it might make a lot of our younger members feel happier and more integrated into the community (and might encourage younger people to join as well, thus infecting more people with our wonderful hobby ) to have someone who is not that much older than them - just an idea.

If you guys -do- want me to mod, I'll be happy to and will do my best.

@Irma and @f-fish so much for me lying low and flying under the radar LOL. Thanks for the nomination - i do have the time and am on the forum on and off through out the day and night aswell as most weekends.
I have never moderated before and am not sure that i would be a good candidate - as i like to lurk in the background absorbing info and i'm not into posting much.
I would however like to add my nomination for @tracyp
