    I am not using salt in my discus tank - to scared to see what may happen. When I had goldfish I did add salt to the tank - the plants do not mind.

    most plants doesn't enjoy salt , I never use salt with my guppies . It might help when you have issues but been 3 or more years since I stopped using salt with guppies and wont ever again
