    it would be nice to have a list of what plants are amphibious and truly aquatic, and possibly some images.
    Perhaps if all the forumites document the plants they have in their tanks?

    I wonder if I could clone Java Fern successfully using this method.

    It's about the only plant i really have some success with in my tanks (except the Oscar, it last quite long and was then magically gone suddenly) and as such it would be awesome if I could grow enough of them to cover some surface area with in the long term.

    Have you tried Hornwart? It grows like a weed. And Oscars generally leave it alone.

    The majority of people actually will argue with you that Anubia sp. will grow emersed. And until I actually saw it for myself at a nursery that propagates them this way, I wouldn't have believed you. It apparently starts out fairly slowly in the emersed state, sometimes taking a few months to really settle in, but then it suddenly grows wild. Your experience?

    @azurekoi,
    It may not be spectacular,but you can artificially pollinate the flowers and from the resulting seeds,new plants can be grown.
    I think that could be very exiting.

    @Zoom,
    Haven't tried Anubia yet.

    Wow those plants look super healthy. Is it possible to grow emersed plants with any substrate?

    @Vis,
    I have glosso and H.C. that just started to grow well.I also have some lilaeopsis sp. emersed,but also just a little bit.

    @ryanj252,
    Any soil that doesn't compact to much when wet will work.The trick is to keep the plants humid and not to wet,just moist.
