I don't think I will have any problem breeding mine. In fact I think I might run into problems with overcrowding so I need to find a few outlets t distribute to.

This is a long shot here but have you thought about letting brine shrimp grow to a much bigger size and feeding that to them. I've seen a video where the guy takes all his leftover BS water, puts it in a container with an air stone and feeds them spirulina powder.

I have the Fp. gardneri lafia gold. They aren't at all shy. They are the boldest of all my Killis. I would imagine the different strains of Fp. gardneri would be similar?? My S. constanciae and Epiplatys dageti are very shy. I'm discovering these fish aren't the easiest to keep. Has anybody collected eggs yet?

@Jenn mine are exactly the opposite, go figure...
my Fp. Gardneri Jos Plateuas are in a 40 liter tank with lots of plants and rocks and a HOB filter creating a reasonable current, methinks they are not used to this?
my jos plateau females were so gravid you could see the eggs through their abdomens and an hour ago "the big boy" did his thing - squeezed her into a corner - only saw one egg drop. busy cycling a tank for them and made some mops tonight

had a velvet outbreak amongst the eggersis and bbe`s so have to get that sorted before i move the eggersis

Could be - Mine have a sponge filter so hardly any flow in the tank. When I walk past the tank they come begging for food.

Anything still up for grabs or all gone, done and dusted? I have a few tanks running that I can dedicate to the cause or add a few more if need be?

    Later Ferdie

The best would be to contact him and find out what he still has to make sure that the trip is worth it.
If you do go maybe you can bring back a male n eggersi for @Jenn (If he still has some)
