So the female from post #50 F's G-Thread - Page 5 is still around .... think she will make her final drop of fry soon, then I can add a second read with her.

She has been moved - tanks is up and running still want to add some more plants.

lol - to keep the moss down .. it was floating all over the tank. Closest thing I could reach out to when I did the setup.

Moved the one red male to one of the 3ft twins ... seems to fit in OK.

Slow been getting the last tank ready to move the remaining red in ... I might take females from her previous unknown hit and drop and add them in as mother daughter pairing - TBD.

    2015-12-26-d.jpg

Had some spare bolbitis from Lucky13 and then vallis from outside tanks added.

    2015-12-26-b.jpg

The buce is from 4ft clear .. wanna see if it will root here.

Good to see my water parameters are ok - the tester shrimp seem to be doing fine.

Oh and mommy is also OK been in the tank for a good while now. But want her to drop some.

I hope so ... lets see what the QT does.

They are all still doing OK this morning, so that is a good start.

I have tried to stay away from Guppies but some of the ones I have seen like these yellow and black above almost make me want to reconsider my original thoguht. :)

I agree Mark.... I have never really been into the smaller fish/guppies, although my Dad in years gone had hundreds of them and still keeps telling me I should get some!!! But some of the guppies I have seen in this competition are really awesome... only problem is it would mean... another tank....

    Looks good @f-fish

Guppies are great for a few reasons ... mostly they are super low maintenance and the permutation over time means you will always get something new unless you are trying to do fixed line breading.

They are a little less camera shy this morning, took the gamble and added two females to the QT tank - going to try and get them hit. The big female has not dropped for 6 weeks but has also been in isolation. So this might help that process.

I got these for the tail on this mail ... totally feathered.

So 3 males and 3 females in this tank for now..

Females will probably go to the tank at the bottom or the rack.

I might move the feathered male in with them as an longer term isolated community once / if I get some fry.

Work had me MIA for a while, luckily other 1/4 jumped in and looked after the tanks. I reprogrammed the auto lights - this meant she would be feeding in the dark most mornings. We did not notice that the one LED light had dropped into the water, my bad should have replaced the temp elastics weeks ago.

Ah well .. looked around the room found some 90 degrees connectors, quick bit of heat and 1 custom light mount done. Might still cut a groove to keep it in one position.

No clue how long I did not have light in the tank.

On a side note -- the first drop guppies have grown wildly ... must have been the extra food ;-)

Since I have not been keeping an eye on these .. I am not sure if this is white / blue colouring or a fungus.

He seems to be doing fine .. .actual rather glad I kept them .. since the red male does not seem to be working well with the female.

Going to add some snakeskin males to the tank.

Moved one of the full reds to 36 degrees, also added the males from thread 117. All in all a nice addition to the DNA pool - big males.
