    Hi Guys,

I am glad to hear that everything has worked out well and that everyone is happy. Bella, I sent you one endler x japan blue male which was a blonde, are you also a blonde!

I hope that all have fun with the fishes, now I want the first one to get babies from this lot to post on this thread again, I sent off some pretty large females that should pop soon!

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Thanks Prof and Francois for all the organising and fetching and carrying.

Thank you so much for all the effort Prof, they've already explored and settled nicely into their new temporary home. I have them in a 1 foot tank while I sort their eventual home out.
They will be going into my 2nd Riparium, which will have lots of hanging roots for the babies to hide in. Can't wait.
I still have to do build threads on both, but have honestly not had the time. Have been preparing everything for my daughter's wedding! (Two weeks to go.)

Francios, was great meeting you this afternoon Thanks for driving to and from the airport for us, very appreciated.

These little buggers are extremely fast, tried earlier to take a few pics, must've taken about 20, I think they watch me very closely, because as my finger presses the button on the camera, they move! Every photo is blurred, or they've turned to face the camera... Will try again in the morning...

The fish are doing really well and I am very happy with them - Thanks Dirk for the outstanding fish.
Sorry but the pics are a little out of focus. The dots are baby brine shrimp.

    Hi Irma,

Thanks for the pics, they are difficult to photograph because they are always chasing after the females and it is difficult to capture that blue as well as you have done it. What stands out is that brilliant iridescence which you simply do not get in pure normal guppies, this has been contributed by the Endler parents, but the blue obviously comes from the Japan Blues. The one male that you show has longer trailers in his lyretail, which is closer to the original Japan blues, but shorter finned male is closer to the original hybrids as shown on the first pages of this thread.

I would advise all of you that you have received these fishes from me to concentrate on the careful selection of such blue fishes for your future breeding so that we can keep this very colourful guppy going in its original form here.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Great advise - that shiny blue is what attracted me in the first place.

I'm glad they are finally at home. They took a while to get over the shyness when they came from the Cape. Awesome little fish!

So, Friday morning... NEED THAT FIRST COFFEE...Running to feed all eight tanks, making sure the family is dressed and ready for my daughter's wedding... NEED COFFEE... Packing the cars with stuff and more stuff... Oh! MORE COFFEE... Feed the last tank... I've got babies!!! And MORE babies and no camera handy...
So their new home will be set up later today, a 2 foot riparium. Photo's will have to wait, as the camera is on honeymoon with the newly weds!

Hehe. Extremely proud... Only problem was not being able to take them to the wedding! I mean, I told everyone that they'd behave and would be very quiet... Just can't understand why I was told to bugger-off..
