Endlers or endler hybrids

Is this Endler the same as the ones you also had ?

 

Remember, these are not inbred fishes and therefore a fixed strain, they all show quite a bit of variation, mine look pretty similar to those.

Not that is not mine. On this page you will see some of mine. Endler vs Guppy - Page 4

Mine originated out of Puerto de la Cruz

They usually have a bigger black bar on their side. The gold on their head were more prominent and they had this little bits of blue in the dorsal fin.

If you google Puerto de la Cruz endlers you might see a better pic.

I am actually at this point looking for my own strain too. I lost everything with a move once. I did however send these all over GP so was hoping someone still had some of mine.

I gave hundreds to my local LPS but do not trust them to be pure anymore. The last people a Remember that had some of mine was @hein24 and @azurekoi and @thysie in Boksburg.

The Endlers you got from me is then a mix between those from the prof & vis.

Prof also got some of mine including some of the golden ones that came out of my strain. So if you get from him he might also be able to give you some of mine.

Not sure of his setups at the moment but he might also have the strain from Tyrone(not the blue one).

@hein24 if you do still have some of mine can I get a few males

No as I explained earlier, I have lost your strain unfortunately.

I also do not have Tyrone's strain, we want to and they should be kept separate, so we have purposely not exchanged strains.

gdt78, that male is not old, he is fully coloured and that is the type of colour that Endlers have.

I think there is a pic of my fishes on the thread mentioned earlier.

Friend of mine has taken your strain over from me @Vis... Now throwing off many of the Golds... - he's got hundreds,and has kept them pure.... Not a member here,but SERIOUS enquiries will be forwarded to him ....

Okay guys I originally started with @Vis 's strain with like 4 pairs then lost all my females, I then spoke to @Vez and he had some endlers from prof, @Vis (stand to be corrected) and some of @Zoom 's collection of endlers. As far as I know he only managed to get Prof and Ashley's endlers to breed hence Gerhards strain went out the door. I got hold of some females from him. I only have one male left from your strain Gerhard, with very very interesting colour paterns this particular male has colour in his dorsal fins, and has about four dots on each side.

Now my question will be the following:


Mixing that male with the ones I got from @gdt78 's females, I could be able to breed Vis's strain back?
Alternatively I could maybe get some from @azurekoi 's friend and breed that male in with the golden females?

Ashley's endlers has lines on the top from the eyes to the dorsal fin if I remember correctly.

 

I am sure there can be wonderful crosses between these endlers and ATFG pure strains. Once my 5 strains are available in significant numbers, I will start playing around with genetics

 

Bad news - just spoke to my mate.... He has inadvertently mixed Vis's strain with the Prof's strain....
