Luis.... do not forget to update your profile to Nam... it still says JHB.....

Only advice I can give you.... remove the 3 Goldfish first and make sure you have a big enough market to stock all of Windhoek...... also, do not expect to get R25 each for your Guppies (settle for R8, or less).... Never trust the weather alone..... keep a heater handy during winter and use it when the weatherman in you tells you to....... Expect to loose a lot of fry in the beginning until they get used to swimming around with fry of all sizes around them.... Growth in numbers is exponently with time....... Provide a lot of floating plants for the fry to hide in..... do not let the hairy algae take over..... remove it daily..... Good Idea to keep your males seperately as it assists their growth.....

There..... now you all you need to know and as much as I do..... good luck.

To the contrary Ammar..... It appears that they only pass on their good traits to the next generations..... the batches I have nowadays are a lot more superior than the few I started out with.....

They are superb quality..... I caught some 8 males out randomly for an all male tank I have inside & will try get a photo in a minute.....

that is awesome, the reason i ask is because i bought a 4 foot tank about a month ago and inherited about 200 guppies with it, but had to get rid of them as the abnormalities dues to inbreeding was hectic, hunch backs and irregular spines, it looked like a freak show! looking forward to some pics

I suspect that the hunchbacks and irregular spines could possibly have something to do with overcrowding and inadequate water changes (or some other outside factors).... but I am no expert in genetics.... I am sitting with much more than 30,000 generations here stemming from my original 2 males and 3 females in 1995...... I have yet to see bent spines or other traits indicating inbreeding...

From what I've heard about inbreeding and what I am experiencing...... I also find it hard to believe.
