assorted mosses

Hi Guys,

This thread makes me very sad. I originally supplied Vis with Christmas moss, Taiwan moss, Erect moss and flame moss. Now what is offered here is, as you say, Windfire, a mengelmoes of mosses. This does not help anyone at all. What we will all eventually be growing is a mess, no one will know what is what. I want to ask you all to please grow at least some of your mosses separately so that they can eventually be passed on to the next person with a proper identification, please guys, or else this is going to lead to a total mess.

By now I have more mosses that I have obtained but this sort of thread lets me think that I should not distribute them at all because everything will eventually not be identifiable.

@Dirk , hi prof. i am a rookie here. I have obtained flame moss and spikey moss from @Vis. i have them planted in separate tanks. so far so good. i totally understand your point. just thought i would let you know that your contribution to the hobby has paid dividends for the rookies like me. so a big thumbs up to you!

Lizid, thanks for your PM, with all these funny names I do not know if the Lizid on the one forum is not a snake on the other and vice versa, so much for my opinion on all these forum names. I will contact you in the next week so that I can get some unmixed mosses to you.

In fact it has got so bad my father uses it as some passwords, lol

Hi,
I'm based in PMB. If you still have any cuttings would you be able to express mail some? will reimburse you for the costs.
Setting up 3 new 3ft planted tanks and this stuff is highly needed.
