other algea eaters ?

    Not sure about this is there a fish that will nibble or clean plants of dead pieces ?SAE ?
    Any advice

    Setup
    Planted nano tank wit show guppies two corys(flippen cute)
    And one lost pygmie catfish

    Not sure if there ary any that will eat dead plant material, otto's will clean the leaves and they are also very cute and fun to watch.

    Just check if you do not have enough algae you will have to supllement with algae wafers.

    I have found the best algae eaters are Chaetostoma Plecs.
    They might be a bit big for a nano though.

    Sicyopterus Gobies....Only problem is keeping enough agae going to feed them.....

    Got some kissing gourami a few weeks back and they are awesome, they may not be flashy in colour. But they clean all the leaves, rocks and even my substrate. Best fish buy ever, besides they very characteristic.

    Aren't those almost impossible to find in SA? Is it those you have?

    You do know they get to over 30cm right? They become massive fish in a very short space of time. In Asia they are used extensively in aquaculture.
