Maybe add a photo or two please. You get different types of algea and they have different ways of dealing with them.

    What's your lights on time?
Phosphate, nitrate, and iron levels, if you can only test for nitrites that'd help too.
Does the tank get direct sunlight?
    How's your stocking and feeding?
Also your water change schedule and quantities?

    Algea could be...
    Too much light.
    Overly nutrient rich water.
    Over feeding.
Too many or too large water changes.
And then sum, depending on the algea type.

It's all very dependent on type and quantity.

Here's an article that covers a few and how to deal with them.

When did you setup your tank? Is it stable or still cycling?

Hi @mohammedismailayub8 yes you’d need to add photos and a bit of a description of the algae to get more targeted help please. Algae is a very broad field.

    Yep that helps a lot!
Looks like string / hair algae.

    1. Trim away those old and worst affected leaves and discard
    2. Manually remove as much of the algae as possible, also syphoning up as much loose pieces as possible
    3. On the pictures your light doesn’t really look too bright
    4. Assuming compatibility with your fish I’d invest in a few amano shrimp and/or ottocinclus catfish (ottos)
    5. A liquid plant fertilizer will help your plants outcompete algae. I’m a fan of Seachem Flourish Advance (micronutrients and phytohormones) which I don’t use on a continuous basis, rather as needed
    6. If the algae issue is persistent you could also dose Seachem Excel (algaecide)

Yes, thanx. That doesn't look too bad . Luckily one of the easiest to treat.

As @A new day has beaten me to giving great great advise here, I'll add my 5cents worth.

Most likely cause for hair algea being not a fully balanced bio load and as mentioned no algea predictors. Seachem Stability can help speed along the bio load for you with its blend of bacterias too.

My opinion for every fish keeper kit, Seachem prime and Seachem stability.

Maybe temporarily reduce feeding too if you're an eager feeder that is. You can tell by much food is floating around after feeding. Just until your bio load stabalises.
