Zoom's Angel breeding set up

that is really nice!!! have you tried to take a photo and count them??

 

I thought of doing that... the problem is that in the photo, the fry are blurry blobs, and they replect off the side glass and the bottom glass, so you don't know what is real, and what is the replection. But I would estimate 75+

This is final notice on this set up.

The breeding pair was donated to Slojo as he has a better set up for them (I do not have a suitable size tank for the spawn to be raised). You will see on Slojo's thread here that within 4 hours of being in his tank they had already cleaned a leaf, and spawned already!!

I currently have 5 fry left in the tank, and holding thumbs that at least 3 of them will make it to maturity. Unfortunately I have realised that without the proper set up, and more importantly, the proper food, the success rate is VERY minimal.

Slojo, I wish you many happy spawns with them... and should I ever wish to have angels frequenting my community tank again... remember I'm coming your way bud!!

It's amazing to look at the photo above... where there was in excess of 80 fry.. and only 5 remain in the tank.

The five are still growing well. They have been very still in the tank since Slojo took the mommy and daddy. This afternoon whilst doing my waterchange on the big tank, I threw in the 20 guppy fry that were sitting in my breeding net in with the angels... and suddenly they came to life, swimming around with the guppies, and feeding off all the algae in the tank.

So I think I might have luck this time and manage to keep the few fry left from my original 2.

Wondering how the mommy and daddy are doing... (Slojo???)
