That's interesting, it looks a bit like a flat frond type of moss.I'm guessing there was a lot of trimming involved to get it to grow that dense?

Ok.. my bad. Spikey it is then.

@Vis you only gave me spiky and Flame. No Taiwan... so if it ain't flame, then it's spiky.

Actually, come to think about it, Vis, can I ask you to please do a thread with pics of the different moss???

You have no idea. With the combination of the Excel, Flourish and Potassium, the stuff grows pretty well. I tie it onto the rocks with cotton thread, and within a month it's grown so dense that that moss that is actually tied to the rock is dieing back. Bit of a pain, but I work around it.

O Ok if it is from me then it must be spiky.
Problem with such a thread is that I do not have the equipment or moss to do it.
There is however a very good site with all the aquatic mosses already.

    http://www.aquamoss.net/

I will however do one on how to tie moss properly.

    Zoom's (Microbelift) 38l Nano 2012

Righteo, I am now officially revealing my current Nano set up. I haven't updated my other nano thread for a few months, because it actually was rescaped for the Ada competition. (Sadly the heatwave we had in November last year wiped out most of my moss, which is the main feel of this tank... so I withdrew from the competition- besides I also feel it unfair that a moderator win in any case! :) )

This tank is also run exclusively on Microbelift's product. (I'm sure @Henk Hugo will be pleased to hear that!)

    Lighting- 2x 6.500k cfl
Substrate - Microbelift Biologically alive Substrate. (Capped with black gravel)

    Fertz
Microbelift bloom and grow 3x per week
Microbelift Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium 3x per week
    Microbelift Iron 2x per week
Microbelift Bio Carbon every alternate day.

    Maintenance
    50% WC every week
Microbelift Substrate cleaner (chemical) put in twice a month
Microbelift Special Blend added once a week.
Have not needed to clean the filter in over 6 months due to the above chemicals being so good, except I replace filter wool once every 2 months.
I have not needed to do any gravel vacuum due to the substrate cleaning product.

    Fish
    Endlers only

    Fauna
    Look at pictures.

I have been so impressed with the Microbelift range, that I am now going to change my display tank soon to the ML substrate. Maintenance is literally a 7 minute wc... thats it. No filter cleaning, no gravel cleaning, and extremely minimal cleaning of algae on glass. I recently increased the dosage recommendation by 10%, evidence by the little bit of algae on the plants leaves. I'll probably keep the dosage slightly higher, but just drop the phosphate a little to see if that helps.

    And without any more explanation...
