Who is keeping Apistogrammas

I think that we basically agree on this issue. Watch it with the A macmasteri group of dwarfs. As a solution I can perhaps suggest that you purchase more than one pair to be sure that you actually get a balanced pair. Dwarfs cannot just be combined in males and females and then all is fine thereafter. Dwarfs actually want to choose their mates, and Dolphin, who also just purchases a number of males and females to supply them to you cannot pull out a balanced pair to sell you, that is just impossible.

With regard to keeping different dwarfs together, I just keep them as pairs in separate tanks with a view to breeding them as a result of which odd combinations of different species just do not happen in my setup.
