Where can I get Multies aka Shell Dwellers in KZN ? ( Neolamprologus multifasciatus)

    My occies are super chilled too. Some keepers have issues however. Tmin my experience multis are far more territorial. In saying that my occies have not had fry yet

    Being the smallest Cichlid species - they probably are
    When other fish 10x bigger come near their pile of shells, they don't hesitate to attack !

    You can also use pvc electrical pipe with an end cap at one end to breed them in if your sole purpose is breeding them in a separate tank. It works well and very easy to remove the fry.

    I can believe that, mine came from a huge Tang tank, with other species in and they were breeding and doing well, holding their own against the rest of the other fish
