Hehe, this is from my experimental tank that I set up last weekend with a few plants and an experimental substrate for them. I needed a quick way to clear the sediment from the water, and this worked wonders. I will be building a proper diy canister filter for the tank this weekend, and this will become my quarantine tank in the long run.

On my 4ft display tank I am running a Dophin C1300 cannister filter.

    240l tank 120cm x 45 x 45.
Tank is a Live Bearer, Bottom Feeder tank. Guppies, Platys, Mollys, Swordtails, Danios, Bronze & Albino Corydoras, Saimese Algae Eater, Chinese Golden Algae Eater.

Filtration: 3ft Sump, with 4 chambers. 180 liters. Currently using 50mm DIY pvc overflow, which gives me 497 liters per hour. Return pump is from my SunSun HJ1152, which gives me 1200 liters per hour.

Water passed through a filter sock, onto a bed of Filter wool, then passed through 200 Bio Balls, followed by 3KGs of Lava Rock & 2KGs of Activated Carbon, before passing through a 3 stage bubble trap and being pumped back into the tank

Will be adding in a 800 liter per hour powerhead for further circulation.

Tank 1: 7L with a small sponge filter. Stocking is a few shrimp.
Tank 2: 15L with a small sponge filter and bio media as a gravel. Stocking is a pea puffer and 3 khuli loaches.
Tank 3: 40L with a small trickle filter. Stocking is a pair of bristlenose plecos and a few shrimp.
Tank 4: 60L with 2 sponge filters. Stocking is 19 corydoras, about 25 juvenile bristlenose pleco fry and a few assassin snails.
Tank 5: 100L with 2 sponge filters. Stocking is 6 pearl gouramis, 4 bristlenose plecos, 2 golden rams, 4 guppies, a yoyo loach, about a 1000 trumpet snails and an african butterfly fish.
Tank 6: 100L with a dophin internal filter, a biosponge divider and a sponge filter. Stocking is a pair of angelfish and a humpback puffer.

All my tanks have some form of live plants in them to mostly help with nitrates and I normally do a 30% water change on each tank at least once a week because I usually overfeed to promote breeding.
