As for the rest of the OT in the threads.
I suppose people forget that the content submitted on the forum is in the public domain and that most of it is accessible by search engines and un-authenticated anonymous users. So concepts such as slander, cyber bullying, radicalism and social profiling are some of the evaluation points one should consider before you hit that Post Reply button. The digital world is very small and your behavior in the digital is more representative of the real you than your CV, passport, bank statement, professional title and even family lineage. Employees, governments and dating sites are a few of the possible consumers of everything you put in print in the digital world. So the next time you do not get that dream job, you are refused entry at a port, you fail to get a date for Wacky Wednesday ... do consider that somebody might have been looking into your electronic you. Big Brother is not secretively watching us ... she is just listening at what we are openly saying.

really waking the dead here...but was interesting so see the views on what this forum was meant to be; how one should or should not post and how potentially "low value" posts diminish the forum's reputation. Kind of makes me rethink any future posts for fear of adding to the downfall of this platform. Perhaps my engagement and enthusiasm for the hobby may be seen as me chasing the elusive "shrimp title"....goldfish to shrimp.....hmmm

So whats wrong if the forum is more than just one ideal...what if its a place to share experiences with like-minded hobbyists, perhaps make a few friends, maybe find livestock and hardware for sale at a good price and at the same time learn something new; perhaps share some information learnt and maybe stir up some interesting conversation.....its why i joined after all.

Relax ... it is all good, post as you like, own the content and be kind to your fish - ego has left the building so make your own contribution as you see fit.

We all have the ability to learn and re-learn every minute of every day.

Just went through this thread and i have to say if i had seen this when i joined i probably would of left..
That being said i have seen many of these people comment on threads and does seem that they different people now or at least have different views on the forum

The Forum is here to record as much information as possible so that both all of us and future generations can learn from it

But.. its also a get together of people that share a love for fishkeeping... so.... share your thoughts.. views.. opinions... knowledge.. make friends..
Keep up the spirit of learning, teaching/sharing and most important of all.. respect and camaraderie
Help and encourage others in the same way as you would like to be helped and encouraged
I think the Forum is great and we have an awesome bunch of people at the moment so... enjoy it!!
