Yes, well...I work a full-time high-stress job, 7:30am-6pm, live alone so do all my own housework etc, look after 1 dog + 1 cat, and yet I STILL want to breed bettas, jar cleaning and all... hence MAD haha. Lisa

 

Tracy, I guess like you I lack imagination. My username is my own name, Derek. I guess you could say we are proud of our names, haha.
My avator is my little one, who will be 2 in November.

 

I use Firefly because I'm like the little critters and find not many people use it.
My real name is Michael, Surname begins with an H.

 

Way back when I was playing with domain stuff - I created f-fish.net for ferdie's fishnet. The persona is used only in my fish hobby. Helps to have a cheap email address for spam and the like. At one point I wanted to post everything I did in this hobby on that site - but reality is grand and time was / is not on my side. Someday I will upload photos again, maybe update the tank list and all that. Till then f-fish it is.

Mine is also rather simple, I have a love of all things magical, faeries and dragons. Plus being an advid reader (i.e. I read about 4 - 7 books every 1-2 weeks) loads of fantasy books as well. The wyvren is a small dragon so normally my avatars and so forth will have dragons or faeries in it. Plus the nick got started way back in the old IRC days and its just stuck as my gaming and forum nick. Real name is Angie and I am still new to the whole fish thing but well and truly hooked.

 

Well I like action movies and Laracroft was one of those movies, I also like the tomb raider games, as for the person, she is a good looking woman but that's as far as it goes.

 

I honestly have no idea where my name came from... at least I can't remember. Started when I was browsing forums when I was 13, and it seems to have just stuck with me wherever I go.

 

Ok, I've merged these threads to keep things tidy....

So, this is a good chance for some of you newer folk to share where your usernames come from?

Mine is very unimaginative. My name is (if you hadn't guessed) - Jennifer. But get this, my surname is Bond & it was only after I'd been around a bit and got to know some of the nuts on the forum - LOL - that I thought that JBond would have been a MUCH cooler user name - and it's not even taken!

 

Me and a bunch of friends were on a farm and we were doing a "nagmars" just for fun.. One of the workers left the gate where the sheep were open , and some sheep escaped..
Needless to say , halfway through the trip we started hearing funny sounds and twigs snapping etc..
I was walking infront , being the "self confident , not scared of anything , never backdown" one between my friends.
Basically , walking into a sheep in the middle of the night , thinking that it might be some kind of predetor , is hilarious to my friends , and from that night my friends (And girlfriend) called me skaapietjie..

well i'm an aspiring author and was thinking of doing a novel about dragons and windfire was going to be one of the dragons names, a blue and silver if i remember correctly with a lil bit of purple. its been my username on most sites and networks.

 

Mine turned into a socially acceptable derivative of the real deal (which my older brother gave me) that I am not allowed to say on a public forum (age restrictions n' all).
