It's a midge larvae, aka bloodworm.

Seems you have a few different invertebrates in your tank
Did you add some plants in there recently.
It's a good idea to disinfect those thoroughly before adding them

The plants came from a tank I kept just to grow some stuff out for my cichlids to destroy. The tank they came from has been running about a year in the garden . I guess the cichlids in my main tank would just eat them if they showed up but in the quarantine tank with the plecos theres not enough predators to take care of them

That's where you picked up all these things.
These look harmless enough, but you never know what else might be in there.

I have tons of Elodea in my pond that I could put in my tank, but not going to take a chance.

I prefer these gogas in my tanks, they are like canaries to me. If they start to die off you know there's problems with your water. I had a accident with chloramines and the first thing that started dying was the gogas, the fish followed a few hours later. So if I see movement on my glass I know my water is good.
