    The tank alone would cost a huge amount of money. That is very thick acrylic.

    No, amanos tank is made from glass! The one at Sumida Aquarium is made from Acrylic.

    Do they use normal methods to bond the glass together?

    Yup. But Amanos tank has a metal frame around it as well. Glass and silicone are a strong combination!

    Well, Amano's tank is 50mm glass. The sumida tanks are closer to 100mm acrylic, if memory serves?

    Still awesome to se Amano next to hos tank always looks proud in the pics. Okay but who wouldnt be proud....
