    Please done even JOKE !!!

    I almost bought a 2ft tank today for R250 ... LOL

I was strong and said no, need to at least get the 4ft to the planted stage before I start buying more stuff

Thanks for the info, will keep it in mind for when I have some spare bucks not going into the tank. Will test with just making holes and using silicone for now. (EDIT: This is me under the assumption 3D printing is expensive, cause I have no idea, lol)

    So something strange.

Found red worms in the nano tank.

Strange thing is that I have no idea how the heck they got in there.

Plants were rinsed and grown in green house.
    No fish.
Lava rock & Rock soaked in boiling water.

Any ideas ? (looks like camallanus to me, but still stumped how I got it)

Not sure how to even take pictures of this, but here we go.

    :::EDIT:::

I have done a 90% water change, but have a feeling this wont do much.

Will check with the Vet on Monday if they have a de-wormer liquid I could use

    Fiddled with the CO2.

Seems promising so far, and have those CO2 caps on the way from china super cheap ... hahahaha

Excuse the clutter, doing much DIY with very limited space.

Not easy to get in a photo, but its a nice green colour

    Will see how it goes.

Friend was using it in his tank, not seen it before ? (crushed brick maybe?)

I mean it's not a bad price if there's some other equipment with.

It's really not that expensive. Something that small will probably cost less then R100 but it depends on how many you want.

No idea, feels like I remember it, but when I showed the pic to a LSF, they said it was brick burnoff or something like that, super noisy and after asking him to repeat it twice, I gave up ... hahahaha

Hey man, as long as it doesn't stuff my water quality around, I am happy (he is giving it to me)

Sorry for the lack of updates, between finances and a bit of bad health, the project has had to be slowed a slightly.

But I should be able to start figuring out the plumbing on the weekend, not sure how I am going to build the mountain but will figure it all out with the lava rock and after that is substrate. (hoping 24L of aquasoil is enough)

Still waiting for my LFS's shipment of Seiryu stone to come in, so that is also delaying the project a lot.

The sump stand is temporary, easy enough to change later, but does the job for now.

Opinions please, the light I got is 90cm, the tank is 120(I.D.) long.

Will this be enough ?, should I call and return for the bigger one ? (60W, Full Spec, 2879 Lumens)

(I know the sump lid is backwards)

You can use a 90cm light it will be fine. Just put lower light plants towards the outside

    So many delays, sorry guys.

Here is a little more progress and more leak testing

Still need to add 2 pieces that are on my table drying.

Leak testing over night, then draining and putting tank in position and then when I have more time I get to fiddle with the hardscape

Also, pump way to strong for the overflow and sump, anything over setting 1 and it drains the sump and fills the overflow ... haha

    Luckily setting 1 is 3500LpH

    Random question:

How would I prevent fish getting pulled into the overflow, and how would I stop shrimp getting over the lip in the sump.

For the overflow I thought a piece of filter sponge could "plug" the overflow, but need to check how much it reduces flow, my overflow is at 2/3 capacity at setting one as is. XD

Flow in the sump isnt an issue, but if something happens, the back flow fills the return section and overflows combining with the middle piece that will most likely have shrimp in it. so not sure on that one yet.

Just put overflow combs on it. Measure up your overflow box and send the the measurements. I have some extras. Will see if any will work for you.

I didn't even know this existed, thank you once again.

How is it that every time you happen to pop in you teach me something ?

I am starting to really wonder if you know everything and I know nothing or its magic ... lol

Please excuse the mess, in the middle of too many projects.

Got the hardscape purchased and ready for when I have more time again. (36kgs of Seiryu, luckily can return what I dont use and get credit for the plants)

(obligatory sorry for the bad photos)

When I saw it, I just had to have it.

Would have loved 3 pieces similar to that, but not easy to find.

ADA super expensive though, that I wasnt prepared for
