Marina stick-on seems ok, Maltons digital works fine for what you pay for them (2 year battery life- LR44 battery) , the cheap glass once are inaccurate. The Marina (hagen) that I have only read to as low as 22 C .. but I see you get some that will go down to 18 .. if anybody sees these please PM me the location. Attached is the type I am looking for. Later Ferdie
I picked up one today after getting some stuff for my new tank out of the 6 local petshops I visited only 2 stocked them I went for the AA 3006 since the instructions were in English and not broken Chinese cost me around R88.
i have used a stick on strip thermometer since begining of the year, no problems. i prefer to test them in store as some of them do not seem to work.
Yeah not bad when you consider each time a Oscar breaks one it cost you like what R30? to replace. Once I got the new tank setup I will test it and see how it works and stick it in the review section of the forum.
actually its R13 but if im going to have to be buying one every week then its gona add up eventually not to mention the hell of having to fish the glass out of the tank.they think my fingers are worms
Go for a digital thermometer (I have both Dymax and Boyu), they are about R80 and they last an age. They take watch batteries so I cant think finding them should be THAT hard, plus the ones I bought (I have 3) came with a spare battery each, they have all been running for a year plus without issues or need to change the battery.
Yeah finding those small watch batteries aren't that hard to find these days. Most pharmacies sell them now.
