I bought myself a sunsun 800lph internal filter today. Attached the spray bars so it ripples the water surface. So I currently got. This filter. Then my Eheim 300lph and another Eheim 500lph in The Tranquility effect. So I filter my tank roughly around 5.5 times per hour. Fish are enjoying the current. Also added another 250ml of Seachem Matrix got 350ml matrix total.

Nice. On all my tanks I run a canister and an interternal for circulation. In the cans I run a pre filter sponge on the intakes, they have 3 baskets and from botom to top its sponge with bio-bio-floss. I rinse the intake sponges with every wc and rinse cans and replace the floss once a month. The pre sponges really helps a lot to keep gunk out of the cans.

In my Cascade 1200 I have ceramic rings in the bottom, then 2 sponges in the first basket, followed by about 2.5kg of Seachem Matrix in 2 baskets, then in the final basket I have filter floss and a 100g sachet of Purigen.
Filter floss gets changed out with every water change.

Yay I eventually fetched some osmocote from Kogan for my Amazon swords. Also got some Seachem flourish and Seachem nitrogen and also some Nature no salts for potassium also added a pinch or two epsom salts my plants will get all their nutrients now. Will get some salpeter for little extra nitrates. I know I need to dose ei on the low scale.

My night light 39watt floglow tube. This light goes on an hour before main LED tube then both are on then for the last 45 minutes only this one runs. Looking extra tranquil.

@Ryno I will look into it. You got me interested now. You see what I mean about the addiction hahaha. When you get that second tank the rest will follow.

Sorry @hviviers75 for this little hijack. I will keep quite now.
