Just realized again Seachem Purigen is not really needed for crystal clear water. Only suffiecient water changes is the main thing. Me doing 2 x 50l wc per week once on Tuesdays and one on Saturdays.

Moved my cave rocks around a bit on the right side. The one rock on the right side was a different type of rock. Now the rock on the right is the same type as the rest. Looking sweet, the bristlenose pleco im getting next month is going to dig his spot.

    Right side angle view.

It looks great. Wish I also had only small fish. The large fish have a mind of their own and appear very nervous.

Thanks bud. If I were you I would get rid of the big fish and rather get smaller lively fish. Like a few huge schools of different tetras or a nice malawi chiclid setup.

A good point. Even if I decided to get rid of them, presumably a pet shop would take them, they are so quick and my rocky layout would make it difficult to catch them. But food for thought.

Seriously get a nice big net and catch him in a corner. I had a 5 foot with big fish like yours and they are easy to catch. Try and post a pic of your tank with new version of tasa.

I will take some pics. Been thinking about what you said. I would like to keep my bala shark and clown loach and get rid of five silver dollars and that tinfoil barb. Instead of taking them to a pet shop where they would probably
end up in a small tank I would prefer to give them to someone who has a large tank and is up for the challenge.
Anyone interested? I'm in Durban North area.

Cool man good idea. You can get nicer fish. Bala sharks can go with nice other fish. Go open a new thread and advertise them on there. How big is your bala shark. You can get nice group of rainbows etc

So I added 3 bags of Rooibos tea in my tank just for a general tonic. Will do it every few weeks. The antioxidents in the rooibos is great for them. The tannen effect will go away after a few water changes. Fish are digging the tannins. Will post a pic tonight. Water not really very much darker just a little. Water still clear.

I took a number of shots but the glass at the tank rear acts as a mirror and the photos show glare, reflections etc due to the windows, TV and PC in the background. I will only upload if I can get decent shots.

The best time to take photos are at night when the whole room is dark and only tank lights are on. Looking forward to pics.

Thanks for that. I first want to clean all algae traces off the glass front.

So my fishy buddies are enjoying their Rooibos tea I will be doing this once a month only for them. Will be doing a 60liter wc tomorrow instead of the normal 50 liters. Sure the tannins will go away after a few water changes. Actualy liking the little darker effect. Lets see how things go. Enjoy.

Decided to move my tank last night had enough bins and stuff to remove around 180 liters. Was able to move the tank into its new spot, probably still had +-100 liters left in tank. Now I can see my tank in full view from my lazyboy in the lounge. Before the move I could only see it from the side.
