    Wow bought Microbelift Bio Carbon for a steal today the big 236ml bottle only using 7.3ml on my tank. Will be dosing 3 times a week. Also added some more Hornwort. Looking sweet.

    I have never had much luck with hornwort.
    My plants loose leaves, and the floor of the tank soon looks like it belongs under a pine forest.
    Elodia and Cabomba work much better for me.

    My previous few strands lost most leaves, but this batch is doing very well also dosing Microbelift bio carbon. Looking good.

    So I got myself a Sunsun HW303B 1400lph canister filter today. One of my eheim internal filters stopped working last night while doing a water change just stops working now and then. I do switch them off while doing my water changes. Have not had a chance to install it will do it tomorrow. So chuffed about it. Will remove the other 300lph internal out and just leave the sunsun 800lph stuffed with filter floss only. Will transfer all my matrix into the canister. [​IMG][​IMG]

    Those canisters are nice , But they only pump out roughly 850l/hr

    @neltf I it hate how they rate the flow on these things, they should rate it with media and a 1m drop, I mean who runs a empty filter anyway.

    I don't know about that, I got the exact same filter and mine pushes about 1200lph...

    Not a change bud , maybe you got the 304 , take your outlet , see how quickly it fills a 10L bucket & do the maths.

    So I installed my canister in the first tray I got black sponge cut to fit second tray about 2-3 liters of matrix I know I got the right amount for my tank volume. Then the last tray got the blue filter polishing pad topped with filter floss. Tank already cleaner than before and it was already very crystal clear lol. The uv in this one will kill the little bit of diatoms.

    No definitely got the 303, it pump 200l out of my tank in about 10min, mmm but maybe I must do that test again, I did it 2 years ago just when I got it, will def be less now with the load...
