any way got my flourite and fine black sand 2 big pieces of dragon rock AnD MY other 39w quad unit. so still going to get a few pieces of small rock and then my 2nd attempt at getting a good scape. in my mind i have a great idea, hopefully i can actually pull it off. but have to wait till 15 november. thanx @SloMo.00.

So got home today for waterchanges. Almost made a backflip. Have a very bad case of greenwater algae

 

wht do you think could have caused it? photo period?

 

I dont know maybe overdose of ferts. Photo period is only 7 and half hours

 

ya thats not a bad photoperiod, but it could still occurr, could also be the ferts..

try reducing photoperiod to 5 hours for a week or 2?

 

I overdosed something by accident somehow. Photo period was 10 hours a while ago and reduced it to 7:30 then my algae problems was gone. Did 50% wc and dosed algae meds wil see how it looks torow

 

Well talking with my parents they asked me what they must get me for xmas because they have no idea. I said well something to do with my hobby would be great..... Thinking i will get a small voucher od something. They asked me more spesific and i showed them the kessil 150w amazon sun lights. Almost got a heart attack they said they wil get met 2!? Now i wonder before tgey spend all that money will they work on my cube? 8x39w is allot of electricity?

 

ooohhh... Nice Lights... But I don't know if they will light up your tank enough? I'm not sure. You have a big surface area to light.

I dont want to test 6000 rand thats the thing. But wil do some reading and maybe get them a bit cheaper somehow. Would like to have them. 60w power usage. Against 320w is a big diference

i really like those lights. my cabinet is also getting built. fist the metal frame by the end of the month and then after new years the wood to cover the metal stand. so they will look great with the cabinet. cant wait to get everything done for the tank. it doesnt look great on the kitchen cubbort.

 

Where are you planning to put the cube? It's at your folks on the kitchen cupboard isn't it?

 

no at my house on kicthen cupboard(learned how to spell a word today haha) gona put it next to my tv stand or next to my other tank will still see where it looks the best. have 2 nano tanks also gona do some emmersed growth of the plants im not using in the new scape so that i dont lose any of my species. sell off al the extras have at the moment enough to platn the cube densly 3 times over so gonna sell a serious ammount of plants. first make sure nothing is BL im selling dont want to get banned haha
