Looking good as always. Are the black dots on the glass snails or algae?

Ryno - I'm sure they are helping to keep your tank clean :blink1: I've noticed that when I'm a bit lazy with gravel cleans they multiply like crazy. I suppose as long as they are not eating your plants they are serving a function. Think of them as a mini cleanup crew

The answer is a group of zebra loaches - Botia striata... trust me I've been battling ramshorns for ages... I've nothing against the critters... but they have NO idea of self restraint! They take a while to chomp them - but they DO!

3 ft - well, I see one small snail every 3 weeks... 2 ft - BAD infestation - added 3 zebras a few weeks ago - from thousands to 20's - get some!

That's cool man. So the CO2 is definitely working for your plants. Maybe the struggling plants need other fertz range to grow? Maybe more of one of the NPK then other?

You definitely need a light over those Micro Swords. Think they won't carpet without light. In the first pic the water looks much better with that other unit over the tank. What tubes in that unit?

Everytime I see this tank I am amazed by it's size. It is a really cool tank and the plants are looking pretty good. The "blonde" guppy is nice. Is it a mongrel or a pure strain?

To get your plants to go red tell them you can see their buds :embarrest:
