Tank Setup Advice Needed
I want to start cycling. Filled it last night, busy bringing it up to temperature (between 25 and 26°C)
I have 2 Neon Danios, 4 Flourescent Glass Fish and a single female guppy in my current 30lt tank. I want to move all of them to the big one to help with cycling (I am not too concerned if they dont make it as none of them are part of my planned stocking anyway). Also want to just move the decoration and filter currently in the small tank over temporarily as I have heard this also helps with cycling. Going to put existing gravel in an old stocking and place in the new tank as well. Need to reseal old tank ASAP as it currently leaks a bit and I want to convert to a shrimp tank.
Big tank currently has a Via Aqua 470 Internal filter running temporarily until I can afford a decent canister or up until I have built a stand to house my planned sump. Wont be stocking other fish until I have sorted filtration. Or will this be ok for light stocking?
I currently have an excessive amount of driftwood soaking for about a week and dont intend on stocking additionally or adding plants until that has been added to the scape. How long does it normally take to soak?
I would prefer not to have an airstone running in the new tank. Is it really nessesary?
Sorry for all the questions. Is there something I missed? All input is greatly appreciated.
P.S Plastic plants were just dumped in there to show the wife that it is not dull and that the colours pop once added to the tank.

Nice one, like the thread and the updates.
Tanks that run at 25 and 26°C ... they are for specialty fish so I am not 100% sure what your ultimate stocking plan is - also keeping a tank at that temp in winter needs loads of electricity. Unless what you are planing absolutely needs those temps I go a little lower on the temp.
Wood soaking ... if it is still adding a tint to the water once you add it to your tank - consider running some purigen for crystal clear water.
The airstone provides water surface move movement - this is where the oxygen exchange happens. No the high temp means you have less oxygen in the water column. You could just have the internal filter break the water surface.
