@T. Guppy Are you still looking for something colourful for the other tank?

All clear now. Good thing about the lock down is I'm forced to let the tank cycle properly seeing as I can't get any fish for it yet. Will probably put some guppies in a bit later on to help cycle more but I'll see cause catching them from the other tank might not be so fun lolIMG_20200331_102549.jpg

So while I was supposed to be studying yesterday for my exam on Monday, I decided my 3ft needed a good trimming.

And here's my 30l so far. Did a few changes, and the buddah has algae growing all over him, which I actually like. Makes him look more natural lol.

Go big or go home right?
I keep doing little trims here and there, then I blink and it's all grown back again, so I decided to just do it properly this time

It also gives some of the smaller plants a chance to get some light

    Looks awesome!

Have to say, I’m not normally a fan of the fake ornaments in a tank, but that Buddha looks epic! Also adds some awesome depth the scape

Haha thank you! I mostly lost interest in ornaments because when you clean them the colour comes off eventually, but I couldn't resist this little guy

I think that's the trap we all fall into with ornaments - we clean the algae off and get rid of that naturalistic look. Loos really good in that scape!

Looking awesome! I don't have time to go through the whole thread, but what lighting and substrate do you have and what ferts do you use?

    Thanks you guys!
@Lowflyer7 substrate is seachem fluorite sand, lighting is some cheapie light, it's a 5 watt led with a few blue leds amongst the whites.
I sometimes add flourish and excel but I keep forgetting to do it weekly, so ends up happening when I remember

Hahaha yes it does :D I suppose if you grow easy plants you don't need much to keep them going  won't lie, I'd love a fancy looking Lancia or something, just cause they look nice and you can control them. But it all works like he says
