@Wilhelm Haven't had the kids play sand go green ever before, even when I forgot the light on once for a whole week while I was away (That was a really bad move for my plants by the way). Only thing to be careful with is the type of fish you planing on getting. Don't want your filtration to damage by sand

Started with a small water cycle today.
It is only in the sump, but it is a start.

Waiting for the Tiger eye stones that I will get in next week.

Did some work on the thank this morning.
Been in 2 towns and can't find decent plants.
So started the tank so long. Will and the plants later.

Did the sand and level work first.

Next came the wood and a single prominent stone. Man I must say, i could not wait for the rest!! Got some nice tiger stones to add on top off the sand....

And then I added the tiger eye crusher... well now it does not look so good.....:(
Had to add the stone on the driftwood on the right to keep it down and get it water logged.

Well I hope that when i get some plants that the green will light up the yellow and brown in the tank.

I always thought my tanks was pretty. But after I found www.tropicalaquarium.co.za and saw other tanks, I'm not so sure mine is nice anymore.

The thing that matters the most, my fish are happy and healthy and I enjoy them.
