Some of my fish in the tank.


Can someone please give me the proper name for this dwarf

 

Dude, Hows the plants doing ?

Did they survive & are they growing ?

 

Yip they are all doing well and growing like weeds

Sorry my Reply sounded harsh. I posted on my phone while i was at soccer practice. wasn't meant to sound the way it did.

 

I think your right. looks like it. They were labeled as clown dwarfs (I'm always a dumb ass when it comes to fish even after years of fish keeping).
What do Bolivian Rams go for? I paid R23 rand

@R23 each, thats not bad at all, some places ask R55+! at that price its a nice find!

 

I'm going to get some more. Would love a breeding pair

 

When you have a breeding pair, they breed like rabbits!! I had 2 breeding pairs in the same tank, and I had the one pair breed one week and the other pair would breed the next week. There were always eggs and fry in my tank. Until the rummy noses ate the fry.

They are awesome fish! They do get pretty big though. Not huge, but not Apisto size either.

 

Ok just an update shot of the plants more than anything else. light was too crappy to get decent pics of the fish (already up to iso 2000).

In the tank is
4 endler Guppies and about 5 fry
2 whiptail cats
4 Bolivian Rams
3 angles
1 Beta
1 Apple snail
a few pond snails

 

holy mother...this is am amazing looking tank! you inspire me...i have been looking around for some ideas! i am building a 350L tank some time before June. you have a huge imagination and a feel for this! well done! :shakehands:

 

Thanks Allot @Siamese fan. If I knew more about plants it would look allot better with those slate rocks

And can anyone please ID these GRASS/Moss type plants I "Stole" from an acquaintances pond/damn. They were only half submerged but they seem to be doing well in my tank. the second one just became dark green but its still growing (up but not spreading).

 

I will make sure that when i plant some plants that i know what grows how and so on...thanx for the good pix and the great ideas. hope your plants grow fast and fill up your tank. Good luck
