    Safer?
    In what way?
Our cases are high, but hospitalisation and deaths low.
We are restriction free at the moment. There s talk that mask wearing may be be brought back in the coming weeks. The government is adamant that there will be nothing further……..but we have seen them do many u-turns in the past 18 months. Personally I don’t think we will go back to where we were last winter. But who knows.

Safer in terms of rapid change to protocols in place. Like in SA things can change overnight and then we're stuck

I don't think you would get stuck here.
There is rioting and civil unrest in other parts of Europe where restrictions are being brought in. Our PM is well aware of this.
I really doubt things will change much until after the new year. And then if need be, maybe light measures, such as mask wearing

Thanks for this. Looks like it's more likely I'll be there than SA then

Had a dream last night that I had a big tank with incredibly tall lava rock. Everything went pear shaped- a seam leaked, gushing out water. The tank bowed dramatically and the stones started toppling over. Feel quite tired this morning from frantically trying to save fish and shrimp the whole night :lol::lol:

I must say, that in a way, the uncertainty has been the worst part of the past 18 months.

@Reedfish you really got away in a few days. Seen SA is on the UK's red list again, you must be so glad you went when you did

So we were going to meet some of the family from SA there, unfortunately they have been for biometrics etc pending approval of visa and well, all that's a waste. Wife's mom was coming here first anyway so we decided we're going to give traveling a miss over this period and hope for the best

Thanks. I was so pleased to have been able to come see my family. Have another trip booked for April next year. It’s a good few months away, so hopefully things will have settled down again.

Yup, who knows what the future holds.
As I said a few posts above. The uncertainty of this all is really the worst part of it

So my red terrors started showing sign of breeding in my ray tank
knew this was going to have a a negative outcome, so gave away my umbee to new home to open up tank space for red terror
catching the terror went badly as female bashed into glass very hard
she looked dazed and confused but seemed okay last night, clamped fins, but nothing to dramatic.
    she was dead this morning

in 3 days i am 2 off my favorite fish down
and it looks like i have 5 male red terrors yipee

    Sorry to hear.
    Not nice when this happens
But you couldn't have left them with the Rays.
