    Thanks

There is a big outcry about the current "pingdemic" (contact tracing on your phone) that we are having at the moment
Things have almost fully opened up, yet loads of people may have come into contact with an infected person and have been told to self isolate.

Hopefully they will all be ok in a few days

Anyone knows where to get Shellie's in the kzn region? Preferably Durban?
My brother in law has been bit by the hobby and now has a spare tank looking for multis or other shell dwellers

    Thanks @TheGrissom @Shabir @Reedfish
My sister in law is a teacher and has been vaccinated. She had relatively mild flue like symptoms and the two kids too. My brother had it worse, very low O2 levels and fever aot but she says they’ve all made a turn and are on the mend :)

My brother-in-law got Covid a few weeks ago, despite being double jabbed. He had a slight runny nose, and that was it.
So I guess the vaccine did its job.

This is great news. Praying for their recovery.

I really want to post this on every wall out there. Especially here in SA it's like every corner people are anti vaxers all of a sudden and it's actually making me really upset.

This is awesome news. Also which vaccine was it? And no side effects meaning not even a slight headache? I envy you hahaha

    Thanks so much @Shabir :)
So many people and their families have been so deeply affected by this :(

It was the Pfizer vaccine, yep absolutely no side effects, hubby too!

I have had heated debates about this with quite a few people.
But I feel that Covid vaccinations should be mandatory.

Apparently it's not a bad thing if you have mild side effects - It's your immune system reacting to the vaccine.

Went for a Covid test, came back negative. Now I am awaiting my companies health center to give me the green light to return to work.

Wow you guys are either soldiers, or they gave y'all water  lol I'm just kidding.

    Agreed. It should be mandatory.

Regarding the side effects, I've had a few people I know have no side effects at all also. My mild headaches could have also been unrelated.

This is good news, make the most of working from home while you can

Well let’s hope my immune system is registering it then, despite no side effects :)

I suspect they’ll tell you to quarantine for the full 10 days, let’s see.

I'm pretty sure that it would. My neighbor here went today as well and has no side effects either

I am still at home today, since Monday is a public holiday if I only return to work on Tuesday then that would be the full 10 days anyway. Not that I mind but trying to run a lab while only having access to emails is a bit challenging

Had my first shot same day as you, and just a slightly sore arm at the jab location so far.
Spent 10 days in Botswana on holiday - incredible place and so refreshing witnessing such a harmonious society, nevermind the incredible reserves.
Discovered a 'bont' tick on my leg a couple days after getting back, and kind of shocked at how debilitating it's been - pain in my left calf (bite location) and difficulty walking! Also a mild rash on my hands.
Am now on Doxycycline antibiotic. Still, loved the trip!

Sho man sorry about the tick bite!!

I have absolutely loved Botwana myself, have only been there once but what an amazing trip!
Also the closest I’ve been to death, in the okovango delta uncomfortably close to a black mamba
