Not today, but over the weekend. I got some Angelfish as some may know and I was worried for a bit because they weren't eating. A few days passed and the previous owner said "don't worry, they'll eat if they're hungry, give them a few days" so I didn't worry about it. Saturday morning early I saw something in the tank, sent pics and got confirmation - the Angels spawned and laid eggs. I read they take a few days to hatch and because we were in a real hurry to get out of the house, I figured I'll do it on Sunday (yesterday).

Woke up yesterday, all the eggs are gone and there are no fry that I can spot. So I don't know if the Angels ate their own eggs, or the eggs hatched and the fry were picked off as they hatched by the parents. It's a bummer, I was really looking forward to the fry, but I guess I'll have to wait for the next time.

Likely ate the eggs, not uncommon, and I'm sure you'll have more soon. If you're keen on breeding, do a little reading - can be good fun to raise up fry.

Yeah I was keen on breeding, but I was caught completely with my pants down. I expected them to lay eggs, just not literally one week after getting them, so I wasn't prepared at all. Now I have a plan. As soon as I see eggs, I'm moving them to a fishbowl I have here (old plastic round fishbowl that you keep goldfish in, but relatively big), with a water pump and a filter and some air in there, with it's own heater and all that. That should give them best shot at life, I guess.

Ended up working some overtime today and no relaxing what so ever. I am helping my girlfriend job hunt.

No luck so far. Please keep her in your prayers. I can see it is starting to get to her. Been searching since the beginning of the year for any Educare jobs opportunities in Cape Town.

    Been a nice long weekend.
    Summer finally here.

But came in to work and no internet and all networks down.
Have to wait for IT to sort.
Mean time I am online with my phone

I often buy bags of Kameeldoring for the braai. It is lovely wood and seems such a shame to burn. But it does make a good fire

So I get called awake at 3am by the office to inform me a customer's network is down....the chopstick who called didn't bother to check loadshedding. And of course, I couldn't go back to sleep again

    Coffee, my friend.

Story of my life I swear. This morning got a call to say "my laptop is not connecting to the internet" turns out they hadn't connected to the WiFi in the first place, they just expected to switch on the pc and it will magically appear on the network.

I don't know why but my mind always thinks of the worst possible reasons for the error described and then lastly I realize its in the smallest or silliest things. Please tell me you're the same so I don't feel mental

I used to think quite afar, but experience has taught me to always stick to the basics as that's 90% of the time the problem.
In our field, it's always best to put cart before horse when troubleshooting :)

This sort of thing happens in every profession.
The number of times I get a call from a client with some sort of basic question. After I put the phone down I think to myself that I really can not believe they couldn't solve that on their own
