Would water from my planted tank be of any benefit?

Also I have sun for like 2hours a day only and it's not even directly into my window.

    Sorry @Shabir
No you’re probably going to need proper sun / direct light for this one. But not proper UAE sun
I grow indigenous ones in the open garden (full sun) but got gifted one like yours (white flowers) a while back. Initially kept it inside with good light but no direct sunlight. Eventually planted it outside in a sunny spot where it’s doing much better.
Tank water is good for most plants but don’t kill it with the water, let the soil dry out a bit in between watering.

Not sure if there's a thread to assist with this. Any idea what's the cause of this?

It’s probably just older leaves and the plant is adapting to your water. Trim away those older leaves that are going a bit transparent and frayed, to focus the plant’s energy on new growth. The new growth looks good?

The newer leaves look healthy. I will change water tomorrow and inspect properly

Arrived home last night from the cape. I had an amazing week of sight seeing, and the wedding went well. Got a good taste of Cape Town weather too - a whole week of sunny, warmish weather, then suddenly saturday (wedding day) it was miserable, cold, windy and wet. Then Sunday it was nice and clear again with some clouds here and there.
Didn't get to see the botanical gardens sadly, but did visit the west coast, northern suburbs, the swartlands and the airport lol

The wedding venue was on top of a koppie outside Melkbosstrand, (Die Huewel) and so the wedding ended up inside of a cloud. How many people can say they got married in the clouds?! It worked out perfectly.

    Sounds like something special.
And doubly special considering the current situation in the world.

    And another week begins.

We got bad news about my father in law’s health today. He has a long history with heart problems, which is deteriorating in his 80’s. He’s been admitted to hospital again and the hubby got feedback/ test results from the physician this pm.

The dr said the prognosis is very poor, he has 2 valves leaking and is permanently in heart failure. He said what often happens with patients like him is that they go to bed and don't wake up. He said if it happened to my father in law over the weekend he would not be surprised. He would not give a timeframe for how long one could expect him to live, but he would be surprised if he saw the end of this year.

This news sent the whole family reeling. My sister in law and her family (from eastern cape) is driving down tomorrow, and another sister in law is trying to catch a flight from NYC. She’s been vaccinated for COVID but has to get a COVID test to catch a flight.

I’m scrambling to get the house ready for them to stay at us, because the painters will only finish tomorrow

    Sorry to hear that :(
It's peculiar how many people close to my family (inlc. my own) have passed or suffered some kind of serious health setback in the past year or so.
Seems just a time of real anguish in the world.

Wish you all the best - eighty plus is a good innings, though it certainly doesn't make anything easier.
    Family together certainly helps.
