Stuff that happened to you today but isn't worth a thread

Yeah thanks guys, i am just glad my daughter wasn't with me but I am tremendously sad that it will be the incentive for me to leave this country now. I harbor no resentment to those who mugged me but rather for our leadership which is seemingly no existent. The guys who mugged me were around my age (30) and I honestly believe that in a land of equal opportunity they may not have been in that position. Was a crappy phone anyway LOL

Sorry to hear that.
My wife and I were hijacked not to long ago. What seemed like a police stop turned out to be our worst nightmare. They were even wearing the police uniforms and had what looked line police issued firearms.
We are ever so more vigilant since then constantly aware of our surroundings.

That's terrible. Really sorry to hear!
But the really sad thing is where do you even go if you decided to emigrate to? Where is it any better?

I updated some files on my pc this morning only to find that I installed ransomware. Had to format and reinstall windows. Lost everything - fortunately none of it is important and I can get what I want again.

I keep my photos on an external drive. This was plugged in at the time and now its infected as well. Guess I will be taking it to a PC shop to see if they can recover them.

That is a real pain... hate it when something goes wrong and you lose everything, especially as im useless at recovering everything

Not sure if its true, but apparently they got into a lab somewhere in the East. Locked them out of some completely pointless file that made no difference to anything what so ever. But the guys left a traceable code on their way out and got caught.

Really does suck when you hit hacker code though. Happened to me a few years back too. Fortunately also had nothing on the machine but it is still a nightmare.

 

Finally went hiking again after 8 long months. Took 5 hours for 10km since we were looking for critters everywhere, such as this egg eater:

That was a tiny snake haha, perhaps forced perspective

 

In Ellisras that Millipedes can grow 20 cm long. Looks like snake was hibernating.

 

My brother breeds some decently big millipedes. The reptiles were pretty active today, that was just early morning
