    Congratulations!

I spilled coffee on my keyboard at work. It was fine once it had dried out

Tomorrow driving back home 1000km to PE from Saldanaha Bay, then back here again Monday to Friday, then back home again. Covered 100 000km in 14 months.

Get home and finish fixing my maxspect leds and give my tanks the attention they need and if time allows to start prepping my 2.5m x 0.6m x 0.6m build and 1.2m x 0.55 x 0.55m build. So that will put me at 15 tanks in total.

Quarantining no doubt just saved me from a massive future disaster in the display tank.

I found dragon fly nymph in my fry tank. :(. Fortunately I only had 5 fry in there. Moved them into another fry tank. Now I have to eliminate the nymphs

I am going to drain the tank. Its only 20 L. Then the nymphs will either go into the bucket and be chucked in the garden or they will end up in an empty tank. Either way they wont survive. Will refill the tank in a few days. Fortunately I have 6 fry tanks on 1 water system so I could just scoop the fry in a small plastic container and move them to one of the other tanks. They are about 2 weeks old. I usually move them at about a month so they are a bit on the small side.

Bought a CF300 but found that it simply wouldn't work A) on the tank i bought it for and B) without the hang on the back bracket. Had to mod my tank out a bit... Bleh

Pretty annoying...what are the reasons for it not working?

The tank I originally bought it for was a bad buy. It has this really tight finicky space where the pump should fit for the built in sump. Only the smallest SOBO 300L pump fits it. So i thought that the CF300 may solve that cos I can just use a pipe I then found I had nowhere to put the CF300 and it was just totally awkward.
I ended up using that tanks filtration system in reverse. ie. instead of pulling water through I now push water through. It works so I am not unhappy.
Basically the whole thing made me rethink the way it was working and I now have made a plan.

Ah, ok. So not that the filter was bad, just that it wouldn't fit for your situation?

Yes, sorry, I should have clearer in that regard. CF300 is perfectly fine and works as it states. Just not for my needs on that tank. It is now polishing my other tank beautifully though. Thinking a more powerful canister would solve my issue permanently.

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about these funny colour variants of wildlife.

Kind of reflected in my fish keeping - I only have wild type in my tank

Are golden wildebeest not a normal colour varient?
Looks really fun being able to get so close to wild animals like that though!
