So this also leaked all over my lounge floor
I should have pressure tested. The pain watching the pipes drain onto the floor(towels) before I could dismantle to get out from behind the tank. Lesson learnt. Never final fit the filter neatly on test run 1 and 2)always pressure test and 3)buy more towels

Pumps a little overpowered, assumed head height would be more of a pain and remarkably isn't. Will do a spraybar to handle flow better

It's a uv sterilizer, a tad large for my uses but low wattage as far as they go. It will intake via a powerhead on a sponge filter, cycle water down through the uv sterilizer and back via a spray bar. Will run a few times a week between water changes.

The only place my tank is small is in liters. Equipment wise pretty much setting things up for the 4ft upgrade to be plug and play... Just add tank, stand and pfs

Figured out where it leaks. I'm either going to add washers or replace the fitting with pvc parts as the thread matches. Had a work trip fall through so have a bit more time on my hands

so that tiver sand was pretty much limestone and cement chips, 1.5hrs of rinsing, sieving and filtering and i gave up, it can go die, milky, lime smelling, ph dropping crapola.
and its concrete grey, not going anywhere near my fish.
this single sandy experience has left a gritty taste in my mouth, im going gravel thanks
Added the pebbles after vinegar check and removal of a few suspect pieces. The rest is pretty much temporary. Internally only the sponge filter and large spiderwood will stay. The rest is just there to close up gaps or keep growing plants. attached.
    Added 2 tiger nerites
Will split 1 to each tank once quarantine is over.
FYI. Chucky is there for my aged knees... That tank is Kak low

Thanks guys. I have gone 9 months before so actually this pain is deserved and I need to learn a valuable lesson from this tough week. DO NOT START AGAIN! Buy fish instead!
