    good Morning Reedfish
both pups born at home as well as the BD are doing real well. I have managed to get the two motoro pups to move over to Hake chopped up small from the earthworms and have seen a day and night difference on the growth as they have doubled in size,,, at moment im feeding three times a day and they eat like little
piggys. as you can see the min I get to the tank they all by the glass looking for food...

Very nice Cesar! Do you ever feed your mealworms, mine go crazy over these, you need to get them to sink first otherwise they float away

Thanks JWH... I must be honest, I did try feed it to my first rays and they did not like it at all, so I never tried again. I will however give it a bash again and see what happens...

Lol yes I brought in a pair of BDs, did a post on them a week or so ago..
yes all pups are doing well, I cant believe the sudden growth on the male pup compared to the female... when the BDs arrived they were bigger than the two pups and now if you look at the pics you can see the male is the biggest.. if I look at the patterns and the colour he is going to be stunning...

I have been away for 2 weeks. Guess I missed it

My male hystrix is also a lot bigger than the female, and seems to be growing quicker.
He is a lot more aggressive when it comes to eating.

Potamotrygon leopoldi is the Latin name
Which are known as Black Diamonds in the aquarium trade.

There are some absolutely stunning ones being bred in the Far East. Which command very high prices.

That's correct Snaily5 35000 is about the going price if you would like to bring in a pair of BDs... as Reedfish mentioned Black Diamonds and Leopoldi are they same Rays...

    @Cesar,

Are you trying to get them to take pellets?
I think if you try when they were young, it is easier than when they are adults.

I have been putting pellets before I feed anything else but they just swim over it and no luck. I must also be honest and say im also afraid to starve them when the still pups to try get them on pellets...
    how yours doing with pellets

No, mine aren't taking pellets either.
I think though that part of the problem is that there are other fish in the tank
If the Rays were on their own, could leave the pellets for a while so they could get used to it. But if I put a pellet in, something else gobbles it up pretty quickly.

Mine will eat sinking Hikari carnivore pellets if I soak them in chopped up earthworm, as soon as I reduce or stop the worms, they don't touch the pellets.
They'll pretty much eat anything else, hake, prawn, tilapia, mealworms
