My new fresh water tank has just about finished cycling, so it's about that time where I want to start thinking about stocking it as a community tank. It's a small 30 liter tank, and I currently have 4 zebra danios who are doing great!

Any ideas and suggestions for what other fish to get? Been think of Tetra or Platys... Looking for some colour and personality.

5 Bolivian Rams. I hope that there is a least one potential pair amongst them. I tried to sex them at the lfs, but it's nearly impossible if you've never actually kept them yourself. I went on the males mouth and face being daintier than the females's, but looking at home now they all appear alike... Eish..

@Marius Swart: They were given to me by @Zuraki about a week ago. (Who's a lucky fish?!!!)

They are offspring of F1's imported by @Jack Stone.

In Oct 2012 @Zuraki and myself ordered Cyprichromis leptosomas from Jack, and we decided NOT to take the same species, so that further along the line we would have two species (variants Mpulungu for me and Utinta for @Zuraki) being bred in Gauteng, where tang enthusiasts are far and few between.

Read all about them on this thread:
    Cyprichromis leptosoma

At that time we paid about US$23.00 each, not sure what the going rate is now...

30Liter aint too big...and with the danios being a top water fish, I'd advise in maybe looking at stocking the other levels (or it might get very cluttered at the top)

Platies grow quite big (for a 30L)...so maybe think of micro fish. Pygmy Cories, CPD's, Dwarf Emerald Rasboras, Mosquito/Strawberry Rasboras, Ember Tetras, etc

    Of course...that's just my 2cents ;)
