so what do you do for the rent?

I have 2 jobs...

1st - final mix audio engineer. I final mix commercials for TV, radio, cinema, etc as well as movies. Busy on a big one at the moment.

2nd - distribution of aquarium products.

I enjoy both, but I'm hoping to be able to only do one of them!

 

I earn money as a software developer.

I spend money on Horse riding, Ceramics, Fish keeping

 

National sales and marketing manager for a sales and distribution company, with a degree in architecture.

 

I love my job as Financial Plant Controller @ a Cement factory. It's great to have an office job, where you can have one of your aquariums right there. WC's are not always easy, but luckily we only work until 14:00 on Fridays - nice time to do some maintenance.

 

I started out doing nothing but annoy people for my first 6 years, then I slept through the next 10 years at school. The next 50years I worked as a Devil's Artisan. Now I'm back to square one... doing nothing but annoy people.

Having classified myself as a Devil, I must confess to having done a fair amount of Angel's work too.

 

I am a senior design technician for consulting engineers. Been in the trade for 30yrs. Had a passion for bikes and fish for more than 30yrs. Better to watch my fish than falling off bikes, had enough of that.

 

I don't do anything for the rent and the silly thing just keeps hanging around... Damn!!!

Hehe... Actually, I am a Luthier. I build and repair guitars and other stringed instruments... That makes me partly responsible for loud SA rock music... Oh gosh, I guess that also makes me partly responsible for Steve Hofmeyer as well... AAAAAAAAAARRRGH!!!!

 

well i like loud rock music , so thats okay by me , but hofmeyer , arrgh

some of us never learn tho , its my drug , the day i stop riding bikes , will be the day i cant walk and or scheme a way to modify a bike to ride.

so we have a devil , some sharks ( yes apparently i am one too ), and most of the others seem to be maths guys or boffins.

Freelance web programmer, working with PHP, MySQL, CSS, jQuery or whatever else is required. Specialising in online sales and payment systems at the moment. Moving towards Linux network setup and administration, self-studying for the Red Hat Certified Engineers exam, already obtained the pre-requisite certificate (in case anyone is hiring). Eventually want to go into perimeter security using Linux software. Occasionally organise computer hardware, cameras, GPS units, Sony TV's, home entertainment and audio systems, don't make much effort to attract customers there.

I'm a metrologist...and no it has nothing to do with the weather (not directly anywhay) or anything to do with rocks.

I own a DVD rental store and have a small vending machine business on the side. I used to be a consultant helping small industries/businesses conform to the ISO standards authority.

Not sure exactly but I know its something to do with calibration and standards (metric system). Heard that when I was still in the quality assurance industry.

Metrology is the science of measurement. For everything you can measure (quantify) there should be a standard for it... i.e. all the SI unit and derived quantities.

Wanted to be in the fashion indistry and got the National Diploma in Fashion design. Had the stress for about 8 years of making deadlines. Completely changed to being a specialized fireplace and braai installer. Never been happier in my live than the last 9 years and still loving it

 

Rent is made by me being a Process Artisan. Stuffy job due to the shift work but loads of free time to do the other things I love. I am an avid golfer (handicap 3 shots shy of pro-am). Biker by heart and guts... Live for track days. Still nurturing a business idea as well.
