So has anyone noticed the new home page?

So, are these tags for our own personal use, or are they shared with other users? Sorry if that seems like a 'newbie' or 'technophobe' question?

They are shared so if they are popular enough they would show in the tag cloud on the front page. Eg. if you tagged a bunch of threads "BigGFavourite" then it would show up and people could click on it and see those threads.

 

What makes them popular?

 

Just being used on a few threads... I notice the tiny ones on the homepage only return 1 result when clicked. The biggest one "tank" returns 19 results. So tag 20 threads with the same tag and it should be the most popular tag.

 

OK, I tagged 4 treads with 'ammonia', but it does not show in the cloud? Does it take a while to update?

I am just curious how this work. Not a train smash.

 

Not sure what the update interval is like but I see ammonia there quite big.

 

Another great job @Rory. Only one problem starving fish. People might so busy trying out new features they forget all about their fish.
