Weard thing I noticed on the spider wood is that after the move and rescape there is a fungal like growth on some of the pieces. If you zoom in on the picture you will be able to see it. I scrubed it off with a tooth brush and the shrimp sorted the rest out.

The wear thing is that the wood was pre-soaked for a month before doing the scape as well as being in the aquarium for some time. When moving the tank I placed the wood in the tub filled with water. This is the first time that I see this on the wood, except with the initial soaking.

    Has anybody experiance this before?

Yup, although not exclusive to spider wood, it happens a lot with it. I've had the same pieces I've reused again and again, taken out and driend, re-soaked etc. Almost inevitably the spider wood gets some of that fluff on it. It goes away by itself, I've found.

It was just strange to me that the wood did that. As there were anubias attatched to the wood I put it directly into the fied tub and again from there back to a filled tank. No drying happend.

@Barry Roux I personally don't like you very much at the moment. Showing off good looking fish is one thing but showing off good looking fish with fry is wrong on so many levels that I don't have any child safe comment to post here

Short intro and then loads of pictures. Males getting awesome colors. Looks like I have 3 pairs. The little rescue have healed completely from the shreded tail she got during the first few days.[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Now after move from 1.5ft to 2ft to 3ft and move again for new set-up I didn't completely desturbed the mojo in the brevis aquarium. I'm very glad to say that I spotted my first fry tonight. I am super stoked at the moment and will have to share foto' of the only two I spotted. Awesome.[IMG][IMG]

The adults are awesome. I just love the yellow and blue on their fins.

Saw the fry actually by accident. Just very happy that they were not bothered too much with all the moves. At least it helps if you don't stress the fish by chasing them around with a net. Just grab a shell and transver

Can't believe it's been more than a month since I last updated this thread.

The first fry has grown at an amazing rate, just remember I'm used to rainbow fry. They are at 2cm now. But seeing that we are on our way to spring the fish got busy. The front right corner, of the aquarium, is swarming with fry. Have no idea how many there are at the moment. Tried to take a photo of them but they blend in so good with the substrate that it's almost impossible to see them. And then their darting in and out of shells the whole time. Will just wait and see how many there are once they have grown a bit.
