Selling to your LFS

Well... As you say...it wouldn't be a bad thing if it applied to tank busters being expensive in order to put people off buying them but, unfortunately that's not the case....
The only real ridiculous expensive fish that you could maybe classify as tank busters but are really not, are Asian Aros and stingrays but they actually not tank busters and can be kept in realistic size tanks

The Tank busters

Silver Aros go for R250.00 at some places while the Asian that people can house goes for between R12k to R25k

Red Tail catfish sell at R80.00!!!!!
Shovelnoses are going for R400.00 in some places and less if really small

Whilst a small little Geo is R250.. +/-
And a Rainbow goes for just over R200.00

A common pleco (tank buster) goes for ... R50.. a green phantom that people can house costs R3000.00 +

So unfortunately the tank busters that people should not buy ...cost next to nothing, the better alternatives are sometimes so expensive that theyot affordable to most

When I say exotics are expensive, this no longer applies to tank busters as the tank busters are actually being sold for next to nothing
I refer to exotics as fish not easily bred or available in SA..not large tank busters

 

Not a problem! And yeah I figured it depends on how "strange" or pretty your fish are. In my experience I've also seen that stores tend to like things that are a little out of the ordinary.
