Seeking Compatible fish

Bala sharks are a def, just be sure to get atleast 3-5, they swim as a shole and are awesome to watch!!

I currently have 3 in my tank and they are a real treat!!

And silver dollars could work as well, same rule as bala sharks though, 3-5 fish in one tank atleast.

 

Balas get very large and are extremely active fish. they are up on the list with Pangasius cats with fish that should be left in the rivers

 

The Silver Dollars will eat the plants.

Where can i find info of this caliber on the internet?? All u usually get of the net is same old, same old. This is the info everyone actually needs!!!

One of the surprises I got, is that fish often have personalities which make them act counter to common wisdom. I don't know all of your fish, so watch for others' responses to my bits. In my experience:
1. Bala shark took serious issue with my Moonlight Gourami, although it was happy with the others (golden, 3-spot, pearl and dwarf). Had to put the shark in its own tank and eventually gave it away.
2. A small school of zebra danios could add some nice activity in the top/middle layers. Small and agile, nice activity in the top and middle layers. Easy fish to keep.
3. A small group of corydoras at the bottom also adds activity there; they seem to get along with most fish and it is fun to watch these busy little guys.

Bala sharks needs to be kept in schools of 5 or more

 

The zebra danios are a definite no, because they will end up as a midnight snack for my Clown Knife.

 

Asgar where that photo of the "altum"?

 

Figured out it aint an Altum. I suspected something fishy when I bought it so cheap.

 

You surely aren't the first and you definately won't be the last to think that the petshops sell you an altum.

 

Is that another "Point" to Henk?????
