Saving on electricity

    When it comes to saving electricity, you must be able to measure before you can say what you need to change to save it. Esp if you have done most of the obvious things listed in the thread already. If you purely looking at this in the hobby context - same thing goes. You will surprised how much you can save over several years if you did not buy that power hungry cheap canister vs a more efficient one. This does imply that you intent to stay in the hobby for many more years.

    I have managed to get the house power and fish room power to about 50/50 on the bill. Next step will be to go pre-paid. That should save me a further 30 - 40%
