I totally agree with you Donny - he has actually not given me a day's hassle, although I'm not sure whether this is just the silence before the storm :D

Yip as far as I know it is an online game - I remember freakin' out at the fact that they charge you an arm and a leg for the game, then expect you to download a 2gig patch and then you still have to play the darn thing online as well! But apparently it's really good.

Well if gaming is the storm then I'm all for gaming!!!! Go gamers! :D

And here is where we disagree - I think I have played a total of about 20 min of PC, Playstation games in my 30 years of IT. I cannot see the point of computer games.

I have played DIGGER on a CRAY II - but that was just so I can say I have done it :)

i only play games during the july and desember holidays, and then usually only the offline puzzle solving types where you look about, ask, interrogate, quest and solve, like the gabriel knight series, the dig, full throttle, those text based type jobbies, etc, only for diablo i really rather like the whole hack'n'slash rpg genre though

rather liked oblivion and assassin's creed types as well.

Gavin, my IT buddy has the exact same view you have, i think its cause you guys are gatvol with the pc in work time, you don't wanna play it in leisure time, he also says its a waste of time, lol. oh well, i loved to read, but ever since burying my nose in the law books studies etc i cant bring myself to read a good book anymore, i just cant take the time for it anymore...

lol, you schlep through a monotonous super boring civil procedure, or third party claims textbook, and suddenly your view of books is tainted

i cant concentrate when i pic up a book anymore, i just wanna put it down and go do something else, thats where my bonsai/plant and now tank addiction comes in:D

Tolstoy is really boring - and I really don't know where the culture side of it comes from.. If you really want to be bored try Dostoyevsky - The brothers Karamazov...

The "Classics" as they call them are really not that classic at all. I mean Dickens - WTF, other than a brief reference to spontaneous Human Combustion - It's all drivel :)

Now Persian Poetry - The Rubiayat - that can get the mind going - as well as anything on Free Energy
